Springing About

Something's in the air. I've got the tidy up and throw stuff out bug. Must be that spring's on the way making me feel all housecleany.

Clearing out cupboards means I've found stuff I forgot all about. A cheeky drummer boy is back making a din for the pixie and dog to enjoy. Piles of paperwork have sensibly been put back to be ignored again.

I added a pair of cheery  primulas to the windowsill. Now it's a sunny day whatever the weather. Much better to look at than the blocked drain reality on the other side of the window.

Out in the garden there are definate signs of spring peeking out here and there. Pink flowers (not good on the names of things in the garden) and lots of green  shoots make us happy as do fat feathery hens called Betty.

Her pecking mate Hennypenny did a good mornings weeding and thankfully left all the shoots alone this year (so far).

In between bursts of tidying and cobweb clearing I've flopped to knit an elephant and dolly (more of these another day).  Then there was the distraction of hooking away at the scarf I've been making for an age now. Slowly slowly I'm getting there. I might even have it finished by next Spring.

  2. I know what you mean. We've had a busy weekend doing a bit of tidying in our new garden now we've finally moved. I've no idea what anything is so we're starting with a gentle trim here and there, a lot of sweeping up leaves and then removing any obvious weeds. We also inherited a bantam with the house much to my little ones' delight. She's followed me round all day busying herself as things get uncovered. A very welcome addition to our family!
Nice to see a nice bright colourful post. Love your pixie. Better get back to my 'proper' work I should be doing now.

  14. The scarf is looking lovely, very cheery colours. We have invading hens that have hopped over the fence from next door. Their wings haven't been clipped so they keep flying over into our hen coop a little white hen and a really smart cockerel. We might have chirpy chicks in time for spring with any luck.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment. I read all of them and really appreciate you taking the time to say hello.
I always try to get back and reply, but sometimes this may take a bit longer as pets and children always seem to need attention around here.
