I have these plans for non-work, Bun's at school days. Things I'd rather be doing in mind, but then there's always a big dollop of reality to keep it dull.
Too many of my days off work are spent doing dull at the moment when all I want is to sew, knit and daydream. I ate this slice of cake and drank my moccha chocca thingy as I rushed round with the hoover (Olly had trashed the paper doilies left out by Little Bun's late night craft session and then Alfie had eaten cat litter and sprayed it everywhere). No leisurely munching for me. This was lunch today. I was already late for the bank and then the exictement of an hour in the doctor's waiting room. Other vastly exciting things were done too during my day, but I think you've had enough thrills for now. Wednesday I've got root canal work to look forward to. At least my dentist makes me laugh and that's pretty amazing in that line of work.
Moan over.
I feel for you....I didnt eat lunch today, my children had other plans for me I guess, but somehow I managed to make cupcakes, I wont feel too bad either when I eat one since I did not have lunch (It's a head game I continue to battle with myself haha) Have a fabulous day! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteSorry but I'm now frozen at the thought of your root canal! I went to a specialist who does nothing all day except root canals and got doped up for the entire procedure and got a drive home--it was an hour and a half away. The tooth has since broken up inside the gum. Ooooh!
ReplyDeleteJust popped by yesterdays post and wanted to say I love your picture of Noddy and Big Ears in Noddy's little yellow/red car. I have always loved the sunshiney happy Noddy colours and images and even the happy optimism that is in Noddy stories. I love happy endings!
ReplyDeleteOh don't you hate days like that. Good luck with your root canal!
ReplyDeleteaww bless you. Good luck with the root canal. Dee x

ReplyDeleteI always feel as soon as I've dropped the little ones off it's time to turn around and collect them again - where does the day go?
Moan as much as you like Mrs B - it's good to get it off your chest someetimes.

Nina xxx
At least you are brave enough to go to the dentist, I haven't been since last year when I had a tooth out, knees (his) on my chest with the biggest pair of pliers. It was a back tooth in case you're conjuring up images of a toothless grin! :) Thinking of you x x x x
ReplyDeleteOur doggies eat the cat litter too, very annoying! I hope your root canal goes ok, i am terrified of the dentist! xxxx
ReplyDeleteOh dear Lisa sorry things aren't running according to plan!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the dentist. I'm sure it'll be fine, sometimes thinking about these things are worse than the reality!

Oh my goodness, I hope it all goes well for you. I need to have four wisdom teeth taken out but have been putting it off for 6 years.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.

Best of luck with the root canal...
ReplyDeleteI don't envy you at all!
I know what you mean about the dullness of reality. I, too, dream of spending my days up to my eyeballs in yarn, hooks and creativity.
Beautiful blog!
Those dahlias are beautiful! Sorry to hear about the wasted time at the doctor's and good luck with the root canal. There are definitely not enough hours in the day and too many errands to run. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling. I had a good tidy up after a mammoth making-for-a-big-wholesale-order session and now I can't get on with the next, for trying to keep it that way.
ReplyDeleteDon't laugh while the dentist's drilling...
LOVE YOUR PICTURES...CHEER ME UP!!! X X
ReplyDeleteAhh days like that... I am trying to imagine a comedic dentist & how easy it would be to laugh without drooling. All the best with it. At least you have a cool cup to drink your beverage of choice from! love it!
ReplyDeleteHope the dentists went ok. Sounds like my life at the moment, rush rush, clean clean yawn :-)
ReplyDeleteWhen I read this the other day (and was called off by small ones as usual) I felt for you. It seems both you and Nina had a grim one. Eech, how is the root canal work? I do hope things are a little brighter xxx
ReplyDeleteHope the teeth are ok today mrs B..yikes,that sounds seriously not nice. I seem to be living off biscuits lately as I dont have time for anything but the dull stuff these days..bit pants really when you want to do all the fun things. Your lunch looks positively cordon-bleu to me.
ReplyDeleteKeep yer chin up, tomorrow might be a good one xx
Ooh glad you're up for a bit of stalking!
